Do you want to create an online course? This is a great idea during this COVID-19 pandemic since many people are stuck at home. Unless your courses are very academic, you will probably need to demonstrate something on video. We recommend hosting your videos at Vimeo with the Plus or PRO plan, because it’s the best way to secure your videos. Otherwise anyone can watch them without paying you.
Why would you need a video player plugin?
The default Vimeo player is already great and can be easily customised. To use it in any post or page in WordPress, you simply paste the video URL and WordPress will automatically embed the video player.
If you need to customise the appearance of the player or if you need advanced features such as AB Loop then you will need a 3rd party plugin. There are free plugins in the WordPress plugin repository but for a robust solution we recommend one of these 3 premium plugins below.

Our recommendation
FV Player Pro stands out with useful features like chapters that aren’t available in the other plugins. It also has a limited free version.
